Barn and shed teardown

Barn and shed teardown

Barn and shed teardown means taking down an old building, sorting out what can be reused, and clearing the site. Solid Rock Fencing tears down barns, sheds and outbuildings in Ohio and Pennsylvania with a skid steer and grapple, then hauls the debris away.

What barn and shed teardown includes

We take down barns, sheds and other outbuildings that are past saving, from a small storage shed to a full barn. The crew works with a Kubota skid steer and a grapple, which moves lumber, siding and roofing quickly and keeps the job short.

  • Teardown of the building, down to the foundation or slab.
  • Sorting so usable beams and boards can be kept if you want them.
  • Site clearing and haul-off, so the ground is ready for pasture, a new building or a fence line.

Check these before a building comes down

Do not burn old barn lumber until you have checked the rules. Both states limit open burning of demolition debris, and townships can be stricter. Ask your township fire department before any fire.

What affects the price of a teardown

  • The size and construction of the building.
  • Whether the roof has metal, shingles or other materials to sort.
  • Access for the skid steer, and how far the debris must go.
  • Whether you want salvage kept, or everything hauled.

We give you the scope and price in writing at a FREE estimate. If the old barn sits next to a fence line or a pasture, read about fence removal and farm and ranch fence, since new fence often goes in right after.
