Fence removal and tear-out

Fence removal and tear-out

Fence removal is pulling out an old fence, including posts, wire, rails and boards, and clearing the line. Solid Rock Fencing removes and hauls off old fence in Ohio and Pennsylvania, and can build the new fence in the same job.

What fence removal includes

Old fence is often harder to take out than it was to put in. Posts set deep, wire grown into brush and rotted boards all slow the work. The crew pulls posts, rolls up wire, takes out rails and boards, and hauls it away, using the skid steer where posts are set firm.

  • Post removal, including posts set in concrete.
  • Wire and rail removal and roll-up, with brush cleared from the line.
  • Haul-off of all fence material.

Check the line before you pull it

Tear out and build new in one job

Taking out the old fence and setting the new one in the same job saves a second visit and a second layout. We clear the line, then string and check the new line before a post goes in. See farm and ranch fence, horse fence and fence repair if part of the old fence can stay.

What affects the price of fence removal

  • The length of the fence and the type: wood, wire or chain link.
  • How the posts are set, in soil or in concrete.
  • Brush and growth along the line.
  • Whether new fence goes in right after.
